What you will do:

As a Product Manager on our Product team, you will take responsibility for your product suite by leading a cross functional team to effect positive change on the business. You’ll also:

  • Track, share and improve key metrics related to your product suite.
  • Work closely with our customers, the product team and key internal stakeholders to define strategy and roadmap.
  • Define releases and coordinate all activities to bring the product to market.
  • Act as voice of the customer and be passionate about the end to end customer experience. You’ll also act as the single point of contact and owner of the activities within your product suite.
  • Drive stakeholder/customer validation and ongoing continuous improvement (build, measure, and learn).
  • Work with development teams to understand key milestones and timelines in order to manage iterative delivery for various initiatives simultaneously throughout each release.
  • You’ll provide feedback to the development and technical support teams regarding user issues and feature requests.
  • Proactively work with the team to identify risks, prioritize them and create plans to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Complete, document, and triage software issue reports and feature requests using leading product development tools.
  • Convey the market needs to the development team.
  • Prioritize the backlog based on business value and roadmap priority.
  • Deliver on portfolio initiatives, define and prioritize requirements and milestones, assess risk, and monitor, report and facilitate progress.

Who you are:

  • You have 3+ years of experience working within a product team or development group.
  • In addition to the above, you also have 2+ years of experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Someone with strong collaboration skills; you possess the ability to work as part of a dynamic team and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have excellent communication skills – you’ll be a natural communicator who is able to effectively communicate objectives, market problems, and requirements. You’ll also have experience writing clear and contextual user stories, and mockups where appropriate.
  • You’re highly creative, able to think outside of the box, but never at the expense of the details – you’re organized, able to manage competing priorities, and have demonstrated effectiveness in consensus building, time management, issue escalation, planning, organizing and project management – phew – that’s a lot!
  • You’ll have a history of being truly customer focused. You’ll be comfortable engaging customers and channel partners as needed to capture and fully define requirements and market opportunities.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in the payments industry is always an asset, but it’s not mandatory for success in this role. Further to this, we are looking for someone with a passion for payments, e-commerce, and finding the right solution.
  • A university degree in Business or Computer Science.

Please note, Bambora requires that all candidates have legal eligibility to work in Canada and be willing to undergo a background check upon hire.
