Fraud Risk Analyst with focus on data

Are you a university graduate looking for an analytical role with a technical touch? Do you want to be a key player, protecting our merchants from fraud? Perfect – we are looking for a Fraud Risk Analyst to join our team in Stockholm!


Your primary task will be to monitor, surveil, analyze and access financial flows to take action on any suspicious activity – in order to protect Bambora and our merchants from fraud related risks (e.g. transaction and credit monitoring, web crawling and card network programs) and to perform due diligences for new merchants in high risk industries. The position also includes responsibility of analyzing and optimizing of our fraud monitoring strategies/rules to improve detection of anomalous patterns in order to prevent fraud. In addition, you will support our large merchants and the rest of Bambora with fraud insights and analytics.

The Fraud Risk Team is part of Bambora’s Acquiring operation organization. Together we support merchants across Europe.


We are looking for an analytical person that enjoys the combination of analytical tasks and merchant contact. It’s important to have high integrity, in order to make tough decisions at times. It’s also important to have a “can-do” attitude and thrive in a changing environment, as Bambora is growing fast and we are constantly reviewing and improving the way we operate.

We are looking for the person who can identify to the following characteristics:

  • You have great analytical skills and pay attention to details
  • You have good deductive reasoning skills and an interest in how to process large sets of information and are not afraid of numbers
  • You are self-driven personality with a strong sense of ownership
  • You have a strong interest in new techniques, technology and methods


  • Recent university degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science or similar 
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (additional languages are meriting)
  • Being tech savvy (e.g. highly proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel, and basic programming skills)


  • Experience from working with fraud or risk related areas
  • Experience from working with card schemes (VISA, MasterCard, Diners, UnionPay etc.) and the payment industry
