About the Role:

The visionary for the product and ultimately accountable for its success, the product manager positions the product with a focus on features and managing commercial releases to increase value with measurable growth. Responsible for the commercial aspects of the product including profit and loss.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ultimately accountable for success of the product.
  • Responsible for the commercial aspects of the product including profit and loss
  • The Product Manager has multiple sources of communication and gathers all to align the overall vision and strategy for the product.
  • Accountable for market and competitor analysis to drive the value and positioning of the product
  • Product Managers are business experts and share this knowledge with key business stakeholders such as sales and marketing.
  • For new opportunities of business value, the Product Manager writes feature requests backed up with the target business values and mission. The Product Manager is actively involved in acceptance testing the feature with a view to how we can implement improvements to maximize profit.

Knowledge of:

  • Payments Industry preferably both instore and online / e-commerce payments
  • Product management methodologies including market sizing, business case creation, strategy creation & implementation, commercialisation
  • Agile Processes and Principles

Experience / Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a product management role
  • Experience working in the payments Industry
  • Experience working in a tactical, hands on role  Experience with Atlassian application stack is desirable


Tertiary qualification in Technology or Business is desired but not essential.
