Legal Counsel

To replace one of our lawyers during a leave of absence this fall, we are searching for a self-driven and ambitious Legal Counsel for our acquiring business. In this role you will experience a stimulating work environment and handle various legal matters related to the payment industry – but with main focus on acquiring (Swedish: inlösen).

The position is full time for at least one year. Our office in Stockholm is located at Vasagatan, close to the central station. You will report to the Head of Legal Affairs. The work is conducted in close cooperation with the business units. The role also involves contacts with external parties such as law firms and authorities.

Job description

·         Draft and negotiate various types of agreements with customers, partners and suppliers

·         Work closely with our compliance department in reviewing, analyzing and implementing new legislation related to acquiring and our license granted by Finansinspektionen

·         Work closely with other departments (such as credit, risk and fraud departments) in assisting them with legal matters

·         Administrative tasks related to the above

·         You have good legal and analytical skills

·         You have the ability to take independent decisions and enjoy a fast moving forward and highly dynamic setting

·         You have a positive, humble attitude

·         You are a team player

Your experiences

·         Swedish LL.M. (Juristexamen)

·         No less than three years of experience from law firm, court, state authority or working as a corporate counsel

·         Solid written and verbal skills in Swedish and English

·         Experience from banking and/or the payments industry is preferable but not required
