Business Development Manager

Do you want to take our industry-leading payment solutions to market during an exciting time of rapid growth? We are currently looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our team at the Stockholm office.

In your role as Business Development Manager, your overarching responsibility is to successfully drive new sales within our well-established Acquiring and PSP services to achieve sales and customer growth target. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities among prospective retailers in Sweden and the Nordics, promoting and selling Bambora payment solutions, and undertaking business development activities across a range of accounts.

You will work actively together with some of Bambora’s most important customers, partners and prospect customers. You have a key role in ensuring that Bambora is delivering the most customer focused payment experience in the industry so that we continue to be recognized as the leading payment provider in the market. In this role you will be reporting to Head of Retail & E-Commerce.

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, hunt and generate new business opportunities
  • Ensure that new customers are implemented and integrated swiftly and effortless together with the Key Account Managers
  • Participate in upselling and developing Bambora’s business with existing customers
  • Become an expert in payments and actively drive thought leadership in payments
  • Understand competitor’s products in terms of positioning, features and account acquisition strategies

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who enjoys working in a team
  • Comfortable in a fast pace environment - handling multiple stakeholders, priorities and fast decision making
  • Skilled negotiator and strong communicator
  • Able to manage time-sensitive projects with little supervision
  • Passionate about the payment/fintech industry and eager to deepen your knowledge
  • Willingness to travel

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of previous experience within sales, having closed deals, negotiated contracts, guided implementation and/or managed existing accounts, preferably of a technical or financial product
  • An excellent communicator in Swedish and English
  • Bachelor’s degree

Meriting

  • Previous experience from the payment industry
  • Master’s Degree (MBA or MSc in a technical field)
