Compliance Officer

Bambora is a payment institution under the supervision of the Swedish FSA with a growing global presence and a mission to simplify payments for small and midsized merchants. Our head office is in Stockholm, Sweden, but our work reaches people worldwide.

We are now strengthening and expending our Compliance function with a Compliance Officer. You will be part of a smaller team and report to the Head of Compliance. The compliance function reports directly to the CEO and is a support to the Board of Directors.

In the role as Compliance officer, you will support Bambora’s organization in the daily work life to ensure good compliance and handling with our processes and procedures based on our license from the Swedish Financial Services Authority. 

Your overall responsibilities will be the following

  • To ensure good governance within Bambora based on sound internal control and to continuously monitor compliance with regulatory requirements based on the licensed operations.
  • To prevent and identify compliance risks with the preparation of risk analysis and annual plan.
  • Monitor regulatory developments within Bambora´s business area.
  • To work with advice and support for the entire business and to contribute to increased competence and compliance with the company through information and education.
  • To work with controls to ensure a good compliance culture.

Qualifications required

  • We are looking for you who have 3-5 years of practical experience with compliance work in the financial sector.
  • You must have a good business understanding, combined with a solution-oriented mindset. As a person, you have high integrity and good ability to work independently but you also collaborate well with your colleagues.
  • Relevant academic degree, preferably in law or economics
  • Very good experience and knowledge within the AML area, PSD2 and payment solutions.Analytical ability
    • Fluent in Swedish and English - additional languages are meriting
