Security Engineer / IT Security Officer

As a player in the fintech industry security is a top priority for us. Everyone has their primary role, but collaboration is key in the Zoo (that's what we call our office)!

What you will do:
Bambora’s production environment consists of a mix of cloud and on-premise solutions. Bambora are a mature cloud consumer with a cloud first strategy, therefore is interest in cloud computing vital for success.

You will mainly work together with the IT-team to secure our IT-systems but supporting the rest of the organization with security knowledge will be a vital part of your role as well. Performing vulnerability scans, monitor logs etc., will be a part of the daily work. 

You will manage the PCI compliance for the sites you are responsible for. This includes planning and coordinating of audits, pen-tests from external vendors, as well as performing vulnerability scans, monitor logs and review the security systems (HSMs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.) configuration. You will also be a part of the security team and thereby perform PCI DSS pre-audits together with the other security engineers on other sites mainly in Europe.

Some travelling to the other Nordic offices will be a part of the work.

Who we are looking for:
You will work in a dynamic and agile environment in which we empower our teams, therefore the members of the security team will need to continuously develop their skills. 

A large part of the security work at Bambora are based on the different PCI regulations. External auditors regularly audit our compliance towards these regulations. The security work must be formal and documented to meet compliance requirements, we therefore believe that you are accurate and have an eye for details.

You will report to the CISO and will plan and perform the daily tasks independently. You will work as a ceremony master for crypto key ceremonies. 

Qualifications required:

  • A Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with IT-security
  • A solid grasp of cloud security
  • Experience of PCI is qualifying
  • Experience of information security is qualifying
  • Knowledge about cryptography is qualifying
