Boarding Manager

We are looking for a manager to our Boarding team in Europe. You will be managing a team consisting of 7 full-time employees and a couple of part-time employees that helps our customers to join Bambora with excellent service without putting our compliance aside. The Boarding team has responsibilities to assess merchant applications and to add merchant applications into Bambora’s different production systems. You will be placed in Stockholm, but don’t mind traveling to our other offices within Europe at times. Boarding is part of

Bambora’s Customer Experience organization, together with customer support, risk, fraud & chargeback operations and delivery & logistic operations. You will report to the Head of Customer Experience and Operations Europe.

Your overall responsibilities will be the following

  • Manage day to day operations of the boarding team and processes - making sure Bambora handles all merchant applications quick, compliant, scalable and customer friendly
  • Ensure that the team reaches key performance targets on speed, compliance and customer experience
  • Drive initiatives to make sure our boarding function is industry leading and always compliant with the card schemes and regulators (e.g. automation/digitization efforts)

Qualifications required

We are looking for a true collaborator with a “can do”- attitude and you are good at paying attention to details. You are a problem solver that can look on things from a more holistic point of view as well as dig into the details at times.  The position includes tight collaboration with Bambora’s sales teams, compliance teams and support team among others.

  • Competence in card acquiring and AML
  • Experience of working with card schemes (VISA, MasterCard, UnionPay etc.) and/or Swedish FSA (Finansinspektionen)
  • Leadership experience
  • Competence in project management
  • Fluent in Swedish and English - additional languages are meriting
