Enterprise Business Development Manager – Northern Region

Based in Sydney and reporting to the Head of Sales, you will drive sales within our well-established enterprise segment to achieve sales and customer growth targets. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities among prospective enterprise merchants within Australia (NSW and QLD), promoting and selling Bambora payment solutions, and undertaking business development activities across a range of accounts.

The role:

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve required sales targets.
  • Meet targets for contacting prospects and lead follow up.
  • Generate new leads and prospect for opportunities.
  • Plan and set objectives for client meetings.
  • Develop and maintain account plans in tandem with Head of Sales.
  • Maintain an understanding of the businesses within the enterprise ecommerce space.
  • Manage direct sales requirements generated from campaign activity.
  • Update and maintain accurate data on Salesforce.
  • Prepare written presentations and proposals.
  • Question clients to elicit needs and respond to objections.
  • Understand competitor’s products in terms of positioning, features and account acquisition strategies.
  • Attend and participate in industry events, product seminars and trade shows.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of Bambora products.

Experience:

  • Consistently met and exceeded sales targets (solid career track record in sales).
  • Proven track record and experience of working in enterprise / complex sales within dynamic organisations.
  • Payment solutions or complex products requiring “solution sales” (ie selling to multiple stakeholders).

Expertise:

  • Knowledgeable of the sales process and effective sales techniques.
  • Prospecting and networking – able to use referrals and contacts to build networks, can engage prospects in discussion naturally; can build rapport in any circumstance, proven track record generating own leads.

Knowledge:

  • Excellent computer literacy with a variety of software packages.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com.
  • Strong stakeholder management; liaising with business leadership team and project partners.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
